Description:

An addition to the lettering on a headstone on a family grave. The low, oblong concrete headstone has a shallow stepped top, inlaid flower stems to both sides and an inlaid inscription in upright capital block lettering. However much of the lettering is missing and the headstone is supported by a wooden stake and a strap, presumably because it is unsafe. The headstone is accompanied by oblong concrete kerbs which have been displaced, and by a concrete vase which has almost disintegrated.

March 1984: The cemetery lies within the Sandiacre Cloudside Conservation Area first designated on that date.

12th July, 2011: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. The headstone had much lettering missing and was supported by a timber stake and strap, presumably because it was unsafe. The kerbs were displaced and the vase had crumbled and fallen apart. For these reasons the memorial was considered to be at risk.
