Overall condition: At risk. The inscription is barely legible.


Description:

An addition to the lettering on a headstone on a family grave. The headstone is an oblong white marble tablet with hollowed and stepped shoulders and sprays of ivy leaves in relief at the top corners. The headstone surmounts an oblong base with bevelled top and is accompanied by a recumbent plain oblong white marble tablet, a vase and kerbs bearing the makers mark at the foot. The inlaid inscription on the headstone and tablet is in upright capital block lettering.

Unknown date: The memorial was made by Jackson, monumental mason of Bulwell, Nottinghamshire.

March 1984: The cemetery lies within the Sandiacre Cloudside Conservation Area first designated on that date.

12th July, 2011: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition.
