Overall condition: Poor. The inscription is only partly legible.

Description:

An addition to the lettering on a headstone on a family grave. The headstone is an oblong white marble tablet with a stepped top and decorative panels in the top left corner but it has been laid flat on the adjacent ground. It is accompanied by a plain rectangular white marble vase and kerbs. The inlaid inscription on the headstone and vase is in upright capital block lettering.

History
March 1984: The cemetery lies within the Sandiacre Cloudside Conservation Area first designated on that date.

12th July, 2011: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. The grave was in poor condition. The headstone had been knocked or placed flat on the ground and some lettering was missing or obscured by lichen. The kerbs had been displaced and the grave surface was becoming invaded by vegetation.
