History and Conservation
Unknown date: The memorial lies within the Wormhill and Hargatewall Conservation Area.

29th August, 2018: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in very poor condition with the concrete seriously eroded and crumbled. Although the white marble panels and their inscriptions were in reasonable condition, the collapse of the concrete seems likely within the next few years, resulting in the memorial being considered At Risk overall.
