Location details:
The park is also known as Stubbins Park Local Nature Reserve.
The park is on the southern side of Stubbins La opposite the junction with Over Hill Rd. The grid reference is roughly for the centre of the park.

Description:

A roughly L-shaped parcel of land laid out to woodland and open grassland with picnic tables and recreational features. There are two entrances from Stubbins La, that to the east is the main one and has a plaque mounted on the wall next to the gate. The circular metal plaque has a narrow raised border, a mature oak tree at the head and a raised inscription in capital and sentence case roman lettering. The oak tree is in brown and bright green and the lettering and border are coloured white, all against a dark green ground.

History and Conservation
1923: The memorial was acquired at a cost of £445. It originally contained a tennis court, football and cricket pitches and swings for children.

1960s: The tennis court and pavilion fell into disuse and were removed, the area reverting to woodland.

26th July, 2008: The park was designated a Local Nature Reserve.

November, 1918: The plaque was placed at the main entrance by the parish council.

28th March, 2019: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in good condition and cared for.

15th July, 2019: The memorial was rephotographed by Roy Branson. It was in good condition and cared for.
