Location details:
The church is on the northern side of the un-named lane from Lullington to Edingale, Staffordshire, close to the junction with Main St. The tablet is ouside, on the south wall, just west of the south door.

Overall condition: Pristine. The inscription is legible and the memorial is cared for.

Description:

A square grey granitegranite tablet with an inscription incised in upright, mainly capital block lettering coloured black.

History and Conservation

19th January, 1967: The church was listed Grade II*, Heritage List for England Number 1159003.

24th November, 1977: The church lies within the Lullington Conservation Area first desgnated on that date.

11th March, 2019: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot prior to its erection.

Unknown date: The memorial was erected.

30th June, 2019: The memorial was photographed on the church wall by Alan Willmot

The airfield was about 1500m northwest of the village, in a field just south of what is now Garland's Wood.
