| Description: A lychgate comprising stone ashlar piers and walls with wooden superstructure, roof and gates. To the road elevation the bargeboards have carved decorative vines in relief and below them the main roof crossbeam has the original WW1 inscription in upright capital roman lettering in relief. Below the crossbeam strutts to each side bear the WW2 inscription added later. The two gate piers facing the road have the names incised in upright capital roman lettering but these became eroded and have been covered by new sandstone tablets bearing the names. Glossary |

History and Conservation
1950s: The WW2 names were added to the piers.
1st July 2010: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition although the names were becoming weathered, especially the WW2 names which were closer to the ground and very difficult to read.
c2014: The memorial was refurbished: WW2 dates were incised in the two roof struts and new tablets bearing the names were installed over the eroded surfaces of the piers.
14th February, 2018: The memorial was surveyed by Roy Branson and Alan Willmot. It was in fair condition and the inscriptions and names were all legible.
